Gaselys takes double honours in the Energy Business Awards 2006

Gaselys just received two distinctions for 2006 from Commodities Now magazine, a key reference publication for energy trading in Europe. Gaselys was honoured in the two major categories of the competition, being granted the Gold Award for Energy Risk Management and the Silver Award for Energy Trading.

These awards, which were introduced five years ago, are conferred by the magazine’s editors on the basis of votes cast by the various market participants, including industrial operators, banks, utilities, traders, brokers and exchanges.

Once again, the judges paid tribute to the relevance and success of the Gaselys model, based on a combination of industrial and banking expertise. There was also praise for the company’s ability to serve its clients with a very wide range of products and services, both physical and financial, from standard vanilla transactions through to the most sophisticated structured deals.

Finally, Gaselys was acknowledged as a responsible operator that actively participates in European working groups on the various technical and regulatory parameters of the gas and power trading framework.
