Tell us about your job ?
I propose risk-management solutions that optimize the price risk profile of our client's energy purchases. To propose solutions to our clients, I work closely with the trading desks , legal and credit departments (gas, oil, power, coal and CO2 emissions) . My job requires attention to reactivity, listening and precision.
What is your background?
After getting a degree in Physical Measurement, I joined Gaz de France's short-term back-office team in July 2000. I moved to the Gaselys Credit Department in January 2003, where I worked with our parent companies and counterparties to set up credit lines and trading contracts.
In January 2007 I moved to a front office role when I joined the Gaselys Sales and Marketing Desk .
What interested you in this new position?
When Gaselys offered me this job I immediately said yes. I wanted to be in direct contact with clients and was looking for work that was more business-oriented. It's very high-paced and motivating.
Was it hard to make the adjustment?
Not at all. So far I'm still learning the ropes with my new colleagues. My credit background has been very helpfull in establishing business relationships. My boss is there to help me if I encounter a problem, which is the best way to learn!
